HUMIDIFIERS
The purpose of a whole house humidifier is to put humidity back
into the home during the dry winter time.  During the summer,
there is plenty of humidity.  The humidity traps heat in onto your
skin.  That is why dehumidification via  the air conditioner is so
important.  The less humidity, the cooler you feel.  In the winter
time, the freezing temperatures dry up the majority of humidity,
leaving you to feel colder.  The lack of humidity dries out
wood floors, furniture, cabinets, support beams of your home, etc.

By installing a whole house humidifier onto the ductwork of your heating system, you
replenish the lost humidity during the winter.  The humidity traps heat onto your skin, and
the wood products of your home resists warping, contraction and expansion.  One plus one
equals two; humidity that traps heat onto your skin makes you feel warmer and more
inclined to turn the heat down, thus reducing your utility usage and bills.  Whole house
humidifiers are low maintenance.  There is no refilling of water containers by hand or
frequent pad/filter cleanings other than the  recommended yearly replacement of the pad.

Some tell-tell signs that you need a whole house humidifier for the winter?  Your skin is
dry, scratchy, and flaky.  You get statically shocked when you touch various items or
others in the house.  Do you wake up frequently at night with a dry nose and throat?
